[해외토픽] 호주 ‘2017 SA 조경상’ 수상자 발표

호주조경협회(AILA; The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects)는 ‘2017 SA(사우스 오스트레일리아) 조경상’ 수상자를 발표했다.
수상작은 ▲시민 경관, ▲공원과 오픈 스페이스, ▲놀이공간, ▲도시디자인, ▲경관계획, ▲연구, 정책과 커뮤니티케이션, ▲공동체 기부, ▲소규모 프로젝트, ▲정원, ▲미래 리더 등 10개 부문에서 총 18개 프로젝트가 선정됐다.
매년 각 지역을 중심으로 진행되는 조경상 시상식은 새로운 지역 사회를 위한 대규모 도시 공원, 노년층 공동체를 위한 치유 또는 학습 공간 등을 선정해, 조경가가 지역 사회에서 보다 강력한 커뮤니티를 구축하는데 중점적인 역할을 하고 있음을 알린다.
벤 윌즈모어 AILA SA 회장은 "조경가가 건강하고 건전한 공동체를 구축하는 역할을 분명히 할 때, 정부·설계파트너·대중과의 협력에도 커다란 영향을 미친다. 사우스 오스트레일리아의 조경가는 지역 사회의 생존력과 활력에 기여한다."라고 말했다.
