한국잔디(Zoysia japonica 'Zenith')의 플러그 묘를 이용한 조성 효율

| 본 연구는 플러그 묘로 생산된 한국잔디의 조성효율에 관하여 연구해보고자 수행되었다. 한국잔디류는 조성속도가 느린 초종으로 보고 되고 있다. 반면에 종피 처리를 한 종자로 조성하면 조성속도를 높일 수 있으나 초기에 집중관수가 요구된다. 종자를 파종하여 만든 플러그 묘($2.5{ imes}2.5cm$)는 조성 초기의 관수 요구도를 줄일 수 있다. 그러나 플러그 묘를 이용한 경우 조성속도는 식재시기, 식재간격, 시비량, 식재 초기의 비닐 피복유무 등에 따라 매우 다양할 수 있어 본 실험에서는 이들 변수에 관한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 식재 시기는 4월 5일, 5월 18일, 7월 13일, 8월 24일 10월 29일과 이듬해 4월 6일로 하여 2004년에서 2005년까지 잔디의 생육기간을 조사하였다. 식재 간격은 $20{ imes}20cm,;25{ imes}25cm,;30{ imes}30cm$로 하여 비교하였으며, 시비량은 질소 순성분량을 15g, 30g, 45g $N{cdot}m^{-2}$로 하여 비교하였다. 식재 시기는 4월 5일 $25{ imes}25cm$ 간격으로 식재 시 29주 후 90%의 조성률을 보여 조성 당년에 피복이 거의 완료되었다. 플러그 묘 식재 후 조성률의 증가는 7, 8월 사이에 급격히 증가하였으며, 전체 조성률 증가량의 50% 이상이 이 시기에 이루어졌다. 식재간격은 $20{ imes}20cm$ 와 $25{ imes}25cm$의 식재간격으로 조성한 것이 $30{ imes}30cm$의 식재간격 처리구보다 9% 이상 빠른 조성률의 차이를 보였다. 그러나 식재간격에 따른 플러그 묘에서 생장한 포복경수와 길이는 처리구 간에 통계적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 모든 실험구에서 플러그 묘의 생존율은 90% 이상으로 나타나 자연강우 조건에서도 높은 생존율을 보였다. 상기결과로 볼 때 종자파종으로 만든 플러그 묘 식재는 한국잔디 조성 시 파종의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 안전하고 효율적인 방법으로 나타났다. |

| Research was initiated to examine establishment efficiency of zoysiagrass by plugging. Zoysiagrass is known to be a slowly establishing turfgrass species. Properly-treated zoysiagrass seed can speed up the establishment rate, while initial irrigation practice is intensively required after seeding. A planting method with small plugs($2.5{ imes}2.5cm$) from seeding can overcome initial watering requirement. Establishment speed, however, can vary with planting dates, planting spaces, and plastic film cover in early stage. Establishment characteristics were investigated for two years by planting dates that were April 5, May 18, July 13, August 24 and October 29 in 2004 and April 6 in 2005. They were also compared with three different spaces($20{ imes}20,;25{ imes}25,;and;30{ imes}30cm$) and three different fertilizer levels(15, 30, and $45g;N{cdot}m^{-2}$). Ground coverage reached to 90% in plugs of 'Zenith' zoysiagrass planted on April 5. It increased suddenly in period of July to August, resulting in about 50% of full establishment rate. Establishment rates were significantly faster over 9% in plugs spaced at $20{ imes}25cm$ than in those at $30{ imes}30cm$. No significant differences were observed on the stolen number and stolen length in the study. Survival rate in zoysiagrass plug was over 90% at all plantings. These results demonstrated that zoysiagrass establishment using small plug from seeding is considered to be a safe and efficient method. |
