| The effects of zinc and red ginseng on LDH isozymes and fine structures of liver in fish, Moroco oxycephalus, were studied by means of spectrophotometric method and electron microscopy. After exposure to zinc, the total LDH activities of liver were decreased in comparison with those of the control group. When fish were administered with red ginseng and zinc, the degree of total LDH activities in liver represented similar tendencies to those of the control group. In the hepatocytes of zinc exposure group, nuclei and rough endoplasmic reticula were partially disintegrated and mitochondria were swollen as compared with the control group. Under the treatment of zinc and red ginseng, the nuclei of hepatocytes showed similar features to those of the control and mitochondria were less swollen in comparison with those of the zinc exposure group. |
