Monthly samples were collected to evaluate the composition and seasonal variation of fish targeting fishery at three locations of Lake Paldang from August 1993 to November 1994. The collected fish were classified into 9 families and 24 species. The dominent species was H. labeo (relative abundance 21.46%), fellowed by A. gracilis (20.79%) and L. macrochirus (19.52%). The composition of fish was different at three study sites. Species richness was the highest at the North Han River site, including 7 families and 21 species, followed by the Dam area (5 families and 17 species) and the South Han River site (7 families and l6 species). Exotic fish found at the study sites were L. macrochirus, M. salmoides and I. punctatus and they particularly were dominant at the site near the North Han River (77% of total density observed). Total biomass and density of collected fish were the highest during in September and November. Total fish diversity and evenness index at the study sites of Lake Paldang was 0.909 and 0.659, respectively.
