| Seasonal variation of streamwater quality was observed at monthly interval from May 1997 to April 1998 at the upper branch of Kyungan stream. Beside, temporal variation of streamwater quality and discharge were examined during rainfall-runoff period. Based on these data, we evaluated on annual loading of pollutants discharged from the forest basin. Annual average pH was 7.31, and a degree of DO concentration was $89{sim}96%$ at each site. Streamwater quality was determined by amounts of rainfall, soil profile of sites and underground water recharging in rainy days. While streamwater quality was determined by only recharging underground water in sunny days. An annual runoff loading was evaluated as $23.8;Ca^{2+}$ ton/yr, $7.0;Na^+;ton/yr,;is;2.4;K^+;ton/yr,;1.9;Cl^-;ton/yr,;1.6;NO_3-N;ton/yr,;1.7;Mg^{2+};ton/yr,;2.6;{SO_4}^{2-};ton/yr$, and 2.19 DOC ton/yr. In the rainy period, runoff loading was accounted for about 20%, of an annual loading. |
