Suwon SK Sky VIEW

수원 SK Sky VIEW는 SK케미칼 공장으로 사용되어오던 부지를 개발하여 공동주택으로 조성하였다. 최대 40층의 랜드마크 타워동을 조성하고 건폐율을 낮춰, 초기설계부터 보다 넓은 옥외공간을 확보하기 위해 노력하였다.

건축설계는, 나무를 모티브로 한 디자인으로 미래형 생태건축의 패러다임을 이끌었던 세계적 명장인 이스트림(Estream Architects)이 설계하였다. 조경은 나무와 대지의 기억을 되살려 오염된 대지를 생태적 순환이 일어나는 생명의 장소로 만들기 위해 생물의 기본단위인 Cell을 모티브로 (주)그룹한 어소시에이트에서 설계하였다. 각 Cell들을 프로그램별로 통합하여 공간을 정리하고 위계를 느낄 수 있도록 조성하였으며, 단지 내 순환형 동선과 가로지르는 축에 의해 유기적으로 공간들이 연계될 수 있도록 조경계획이 수립되었다.

SK Sky VIEW, an apartment housing located in Suwon, was constructed by renovating the factory site previously owned by SK Chemical. One of the priorities in the early stage of design process was to establish the 40-story landmark tower and reduce building coverage ration in order to provide much larger outdoor space.

While the landmark of the complex is designed by Estream Architects, a renowned design company, which has been famous for its innovative new paradigm of future-oriented, ecological architecture with a distinctive motive of trees, landscaping work is created by Group Han, which sought to transform the contaminated project site into the vibrant land fueled by ecological circulation by employing a creative motive of ‘Cells’, fundamental elements of life and reviving the forgotten memories of trees and Mother Earth. Each Cell is categorized and integrated, based on different programs, and the spaces across the apartment complex are closely linked to each other by the efficient circulation system and the axis of landscape running through the site.
