Hwanghaksan Arboretum in Yeoju
지난 5월 1일 임시 개장한 황학산수목원은 생명 중심의 녹색도시 여주를 상징하고,“숨 쉬는 자연의 숲”“, 테마가 있는 정원”,“자연을 느끼는 체험”을 모토로 자연과 인간이 교감하는 공간으로 조성되었다. 항아리정원, 강돌정원, 석정원, 미로원 등 14개의 테마정원으로 이루어졌으며, 멸종 위기에 처한 단양쑥부쟁이와 층층둥굴레 군락을 복원하는 등 목본류 350여 종과 초본류 750여 종을 옮겨 심었다. 앞으로 더 많은 식물이 자생할 수 있는 환경을 만들어 갈 예정이다.

Hwanghaksan Arboretum, which temporarily opened on May 1st, symbolizes the green city, Yeoju, centralized the life and makes-up “breathing natural forest”, “having themes in gardens”, and “feeling experience for nature” for sharing sense with nature and human. There are 14 theme gardens: Jar garden, River stone garden, Rock garden, Maze garden, and species of 350 trees and 750 plants including extinction species such as Fig Marigold and Polygonatum stenophyllum Maximowicz for the restoration. The environment of Hwanghaksan arboretum will be formulated for more native plants to grow.
