The American Society of Landscape Architects(ASLA, 미국조경가협회)가 지난 27일(화) 2010 ASLA Award 전문가 부문 수상자를  홈페이지를 통해 발표했다.

이번 2010 ASLA Award 전문가 부문에서는 일반디자인, 주거디자인, 분석 및 계획, 학술연구 및 커뮤니케이션 부분에 총 618개의 작품이 접수되었으며 이 중 49개의 작품이 선정되었다. 

눈에 띠는 점은 중국 조경가들의 활약이다. 특히 일반디자인 부문에서 최우수상과 우수상에 중국조경가의 작품이 4점이나 선정되는 기염을 토했다.

전통적으로 강세를 보였던 미국 외에 금번에 다수의 수상실적을 쌓아올린 중국 조경가의 활약은 앞으로도 주목할 부분이다.

총 20개국, 618개의 작품이 참가한 이번 대회에는 ASLA 역사상 가장 많은 참가작품이 신청한 것으로 관계자는 밝혔다.

시상식은 워싱턴 D.C에서 열리는 연례회의 및 EXPO 기간인 9월 13일(월) 오후 12시에 개최될 예정이다.
