1. 국내 시장동향(Domestic Market Trends)
국내에 수영장이 처음 도입된 이래 현재까지 가장 일반적이고 폭넓게 적용되고 있는 여과장비는 단연 다층여과기라고 할 수 있다. 세계적으로도 가장 오랫동안 많은 수영장에서 사용하고 있다고 할 수 있는데, 현재는 다층여과기 외에도 미오라이트여과기, 규조토여과기 등 다양한 수처리 장비들이 소개되고 있다.
진주암여과기가 국내 굴지의 워터파크, 수영장 및 리조트 프로젝트에 꾸준히 선정되어 시장점유율을 높여가고 있는 이유는 진주암여과기의 경제성과 친환경성 등 진주암여과기만의 장점을 현장에서 인정받고 있기 때문이다.

해외에서는 수영장 수처리 분야보다 헬스케어, 메디칼, F&B 분야에서 눈에 띄는 진주암여과 시스템 시장의 변화가 있었는데, 저비용, 고효율 및 편리한 사용성으로 인해 관련 산업의 성장을 주도하고 있는 것으로 보인다.
헬스케어와 의약품분야는 벨리데이션(Validation. 비준)의 중요성 때문에 정밀여과가 가능한 진주암여과방식이 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 오염된 물을 마시는 것에 대한 건강위험과 그와 연관된 결과를 우려하는 고객의 걱정이 늘어나면서 오수 정화처리 분야에서도 점유율이 증가하고 있다.
3. 수영장 외 시장공략(General Market Approach)
진주암여과기의 적용분야는 수영장 수처리에 한정되어 있지 않다. 제조사는 최근 아파트 저수조용 진주암여과기를 개발하여 더욱 깨끗한 물을 각 가정의 수도꼭지까지 공급하는 시스템으로 사업 범위를 확장하고 있다. 국내 상수도 정수 시스템은 세계 어느 나라와 견주어도 뒤지지 않을 정도로 수준이 높고, 고품질의 원수를 생산하지만, 땅속에 매설되어있는 상수관, 배수지 및 가압장 펌프의 노후화율이 높은 편이라 정수장에서 생산한 깨끗한 물을 말단까지 동일한 품질로 제공하기 어려울 수 있다.

최근 인천시에서 발생한 녹물사태를 보면, 오염된 상수도의 공급은 시민에게 재난수준의 고통을 안겨주는 대형 사고라고 할 수 있다. 신축아파트라 해도 메인 상수공급라인은 노후화 되어있는 경우가 있기 때문에 안심할 수 없다. 아파트 물탱크용 진주암여과기는 공급되는 시수를 계속 여과순환하기 때문에 각 가정의 수도꼭지에 불순물이 걸러진 안전한 물을 공급할 수 있다.

DomesticmarkettrendsSince the first swimming pool was constructed in Korea, multi-layered filters have been the most commonly used filters to date.Such filters are widely used by swimming pools around the world. In recent years, filters and silicic filters have also been introduced to the market in addition to the multi-layered filters.One of the reasons perlite filters are increasingly adopted by renowned water parks, swimming pools and resorts in Korea is the unique advantages of being economical and environment-friendly.Perlite filters were first introduced to the Korean market in 2013, having been developed with home grown technology.Since then, it has been installed at large project sites such as Hongcheon Daemyeong Vivaldi, Samcheok Sol Beach, Lotte Sokcho Resort, Songpa Water Kingdom, Yeongjong-Do Paradise City (1st and 2nd complex), Dongbu Mountain Tourist Complex Landmark Hotel, Jeongseon Hi Won Water World, Gangneung Sky Bay Hotel, Geoje Hanhwa Belvedere and Hae Un Dae LCT in Korea, as well as a waterpark in Russia, Clark Hills Resort in the Philippines, Hon Tom Water Park in Vietnam and Chengdu Water Park in China. Given that once in stalled, water treatment systems must be used for 20 years or longer, thorough verification of their function is essential. The adoption of perlite filters by numerus large-scale projects show that they have met the strictst andards for function.In the past the high unit cost of perlite filters compared to combined filters has been a weakness, but this is offset by many strengths such as savings that occur in the installation area, installation costs and maintenance costs, as well as the convenience in its management. Cost-savings in the manufacturing process, the sale price of perlite filters have been frozen at a certain level over the years, while the sale price of combined filters has increased. This has allowed perlite filters to secure sufficient competiveness now.Moreover, there have been continuous efforts for quality management and improved water quality to meet international standards. Steps are currently being taken to acquire international certification on the overall manufacturing and function of the perlite filters to compete better not just in Korea but in the global market.
