Since 1981, the German Architecture Museum has been recognising the best architecture its country has to offer. This year, the editors of "DAM" will pay special tribute to one project deemed the year's most impressive architectural contribution. The winner of the prize will open this newly redesigned annual, which will also feature outstanding works beyond the country's borders, including government and residential buildings, schools, transport stations, athletic facilities, retail and community centres. Each project is presented in a double-page spread, with architectural analysis and supporting illustrations and plans.
