두 번째 로비
SBS프리즘타워 지상부의 디자인 컨셉은 ‘두 번째 로비(Second Lobby)’이다. 지상부의 외부공간이 건물을 감싸는 선형의 좁은 공간이기 때문에, 독자적인 장소로 쓰이기에는 제한적이어서 실내 로비와의 시각적, 물리적 연계를 통해 내·외부 모두 더 넓게 이용될 수 있도록 했다. 근무자들에게는 일상생활 중의 휴식공간으로 쓰이면서도 방송사의 각종 이벤트가 있을 때는 ‘두 번째 로비’가 무대 혹은 배경이 되도록 의도한 것이다.
먼저 선형의 공간을 데크로 조성하고 포디엄(Podium)으로 규정해 준 후, ‘관목부케(Shrub Bouquets)’들을 흐르는 듯 배치하여 보행자의 흐름을 유도하고 외부 휴식공간을 제공하는 한편, 식재와 시설물설계를 통해 시각적으로 실내의 로비와 연계되도록 하였다. 실내에서 바라봤을 때, 포디엄 경계부에 서 있는 대왕참나무들이 마치 무대의 커튼과 같은 역할을 하여 방송국 시상식의 파티 등 행사 시 로비를 넓어 보이게 한다. 유리커튼월을 관통하는-것처럼 보이는-세 개의 ‘관목부케’에 심겨진 상록수는 계절변화와 관계없이 안팎을 연결하는 반면, 나머지 9개의 부케에는
여섯 가지 다른 관목들이 꽃과 열매로 계절을 알린다.

Second Lobby
The design concept of landscape of the ground level is ‘Second Lobby’ As the space is a linear and narrow strip surrounding the building, the possibilities for the space itself to be used independently were fairly limited.
So in order to maximize utilization of the subordinate space, the strip was defined as a ‘Podium’ a deck made with aluminum I-profiles and twelve ‘hrub Bouquets’ located in those cutout spaces. The Bouquets are laid out as if they are flowing through the in-between space, and providing venues for relaxation, as well as a pedestrian pat. The Pin Oak trees planted at the fringe of the Podium not only give the structure for the whole space but also creates an atmosphere for the Main Lobby. Seen from within the 1st floor lobby, the magnificent trees stand as a backdrop of a stage most fit for various events hosted by SBS such as award ceremonies and parties, or filming locations for SBS production dramas. The three Bouquets, which give an optical illusion of penetrating the glass curtain wall, are planted with evergreens and help visually broaden the lobby. Nine out of twelve bouquets were planted with six Korean native species that in effect brings the change of seasons within the building by its ever-changing flowers and blossoming fruits.
